Senior Campaign Consultant

The Winkler Group is seeking an experienced fundraising professional to serve as senior campaign consultant. 

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • 10 years of professional fundraising experience, with demonstrated experience leading capital campaigns.
  • Ability and success in identifying, cultivating, and securing major gifts.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The senior campaign consultant must work collaboratively with clients to identify, design, implement, and manage customized plans and solutions for fundraising initiatives. The senior campaign consultant will be expected to travel each week to provide on-site leadership to clients. A sampling of responsibilities during a client’s engagement may include:

Planning Studies and Capital Campaigns          

  • Serve as lead counsel on planning studies and capital campaigns.
  • Develop customized campaign plans, solutions, and strategies.
  • Craft individual cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
  • Create campaign documents, policies and procedures, and communication strategies.
  • Set campaign direction and manage day-to-day operations.
  • Direct identification, research, evaluation, cultivation, stewardship and tracking of prospects and donors.
  • Lead regular campaign meetings with executive leadership and staff.
  • Lead, manage, and motivate volunteer committees, activities, and training programs.
  • Provide regular and consistent campaign progress reports.

Strategic Planning and Development Assessments

  • Conduct personal interviews with key internal and external constituents.
  • Track quantitative and qualitative findings.
  • Analyze planning study results, organizational structure, strategies, staffing, resources, budget, volunteer support, and donor databases.
  • Prepare customized written analysis and recommendations.
  • Deliver findings to executive leadership.

COMPENSATION, BENEFITS & REQUIREMENTS

The Winkler Group offers a starting salary range of $80,000-$90,000 with opportunities for bonuses and advancement.  A generous benefits package includes 401(k), medical, vacation, sick leave, and holidays. The consultant must be based in the Southeastern United States or be willing to relocate to the region.

The campaign consultant will work on projects in tandem with the Winkler Group’s services team—fully learning the firm’s process of leading capital campaigns and strategic plans.  The campaign consultant will support senior campaign consultants and senior managing consultants while taking on progressively higher levels of responsibility.  

The campaign consultant will work collaboratively with the services team and with clients to identify, design, implement, and manage customized plans and solutions for fundraising initiatives. Capital Campaigns and Strategic Plans

  • Support senior campaign consultant or senior managing consultant with planning studies and capital campaigns.
  • Learn and develop customized campaign plans, solutions, and strategies.

  • Create campaign documents, policies and procedures, and communication strategies.

The Winkler Group offers a starting salary range of $60,000-$70,000 with opportunities for bonuses and advancement.  It is our intention that a campaign consultant will progress to the senior campaign consultant level within a reasonable length of time.  A generous benefits package includes medical, vacation, sick leave, and holidays. It is preferred that the consultant be based in the Southeastern United States or be willing to relocate to the region.

Client Services Coordinator

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Client Services Coordinator provides direct support to our consultants and client services leadership team to ensure the Winkler Group delivers exceptional service to our nonprofit clients.  Based in our Charleston, SC, headquarters, the coordinator is responsible for assisting each consultant with the activities required to move projects forward every day.  This role touches every aspect of a client engagement including preparing client-facing materials, creating and managing applications and client-facing systems, and interpreting and analyzing data.

A successful Client Services Coordinator will be extremely detail-oriented, able to multi-task on many projects, manage multiple priorities, have a positive willingness to support the firm’s client services team, and be committed to the Winkler Group’s core values.  Additionally, the coordinator must be relentless about ensuring accuracy, client confidentiality, and meeting deadlines.

Client Services Essential Functions:

  • Provide direct support to each consultant and the client services leadership team for every engagement.
  • Work with each consultant to understand the engagement timeline and outcomes for every engagement.
  • Ensure that each engagement has the items needed to successfully launch every project on time.
  • Set up internal systems to support engagements, including the online project management system, online survey applications, and other client-facing systems.
  • Manage the input and output process for data screening.
  • Create and monitor online surveys.  Download and interpret data and create charts and graphs for data-driven projects.
  • Merge collateral materials for engagements, including gift proposals and solicitation strategy sheets.
  • Prepare agendas, assignment lists, progress sheets, and other materials for client-facing meetings.
  • Prepare comprehensive data reports for engagements including study final reports, comprehensive charts and graphs, representative responses, and confidential lists.
  • Constantly strive to improve internal processes to better deliver exceptional client service.

COMPENSATION, BENEFITS & REQUIREMENTS
