Currey Ingram Academy

Currey Ingram Academy is a nationally recognized K–12 independent school serving students with learning differences. Families from across the United States and beyond relocate to Brentwood, Tennessee, to give their children access to Currey Ingram’s specialized programs and supportive learning environment.

As demand for its programs grew, the school faced a new challenge: how to provide access to students who didn’t live nearby. Leadership envisioned a bold step forward, transforming Currey Ingram into a boarding school to serve students from across the country and around the world.

To make that vision a reality, the school partnered with the Winkler Group to launch the It’s Possible campaign—designed to fund new boarding facilities, expand financial aid, and ensure more students could benefit from Currey Ingram’s transformative education.

The Campaign: Expanding Access and Opportunity

We worked closely with Currey Ingram’s leadership to shape a campaign strategy that centered on student opportunity and the powerful stories of families whose lives had been transformed by the school.

The campaign prioritized three major goals: constructing the school’s first-ever dormitories to launch a full boarding program, growing the endowment to fund increased financial aid and expand student access, and elevating Currey Ingram’s national profile as a leader in educating students with learning differences.

Our campaign approach focused on personal engagement—connecting donors with the stories of students whose lives had been changed at Currey Ingram. By emphasizing the life-changing outcomes of a Currey Ingram education, we helped inspire extraordinary generosity from the school’s community of supporters.

The Result

The It’s Possible campaign exceeded its $15 million goal, ultimately raising more than $16 million, fully funding the construction of Currey Ingram’s first-ever boarding facilities and boosting the school’s endowment.

The new residential program has allowed Currey Ingram to welcome students from across the country and internationally, expanding its reach and mission impact. Simultaneously, the increased endowment has strengthened the school’s ability to provide financial aid—ensuring that more students, regardless of background or geography, can benefit from its specialized programs.
