Charleston—The Winkler Group announces a new position: Director of Finance and Operations. Katie Hajjar, veteran Charleston hospitality executive, has been named to the role. Her addition to the firm is in keeping with the Winkler Group’s long-standing commitment to client service and
servant leadership.

As part of the firm’s reorganization, Rachel Santos was named to Marketing and Sales Coordinator. She will build the Winkler Group’s social media and web presence as the firm focuses on renewed growth. The philanthropic market has remained robust during the pandemic and the Winkler Group continues to see growth in the sector.

“These two new positions will enable us to better serve the nonprofits that have helped so many people weather the storm created by the pandemic,” states Tim Winkler, founder and CEO of the firm. “Organizations are realizing that donors are giving. We are now even better positioned to
help organizations capture the spirit of these philanthropic gifts.”

With 13 full time team members, the Winkler Group has over 250 years of combined fundraising experience and has raised collectively more than $1.5 billion for our clients.

Katie Hajjar, Director of Finance and Operations

As Director of Finance and Operations, Katie Hajjar brings years of customer service, budget management, and business savvy to the Winkler Group. She exemplifies servant leadership and is a dynamic leader with exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.

Katie brings more than 20 years of operations and finance experience to the Winkler Group. Her expertise lies in execution and service. She works with the Winkler Group team and with clients to develop a vision and then translate that vision into an executable and successful plan.

Katie graduated cum laude from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sales & Meeting Management. She actively volunteers with many nonprofits in the Charleston area and has served as a board member for numerous community-based organizations.
