Winkler Group Grows Leadership Team

Charleston—The Winkler Group, a national nonprofit consulting firm headquartered in Charleston, has announced new appointments to its leadership team.  These new appointments come as the Winkler Group experiences its 13th straight year of growth.

Jessica Browning is the new Senior Vice President of Communications for the firm.  In her nine years with the Winkler Group, she has written materials that have successfully raised millions of dollars for nonprofit organizations and institutions.  Ms. Browning is a graduate of Duke University and the College of William & Mary.  She is a member of the Giving USA National Editorial Review Board.

Jim Bush has been named Vice President of Client Relationships.  In this role, Mr. Bush will oversee the Winkler Group’s growing team of consultants and provide oversight of each project using the experience he’s gleaned in his 25-year career in the nonprofit industry.  He will also help direct the Winkler Group’s strategic growth.  Mr. Bush holds a B.A. from Elon College and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University.

Laura Taylor is the new Assistant Vice President of Operations.  A member of the firm since 2011, Ms. Taylor has created the procedures that ensure successful project management.  She will continue to work directly with Winkler Group consultants to provide service that exceeds client expectations.  Ms. Taylor holds a B.A. from Clemson University and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Nikki Rach was promoted to Senior Managing Consultant.  In her new role, she will continue to serve as lead counsel while also working directly with Winkler Group consultants to implement best practices across all aspects of fundraising.  She will evaluate the firm’s internal systems and ensure their fidelity as the Winkler Group grows.  Ms. Rach is a graduate of Concordia University and has been invited to serve as an adjunct professor at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University.

The Winkler Group was founded in 2004 and has grown in each subsequent year.  Today, it is the largest full-service fundraising firm in South Carolina and one of the largest on the East Coast.  These new leadership appointments will steer the firm’s expected growth while ensuring the same level of exceptional service that is a hallmark of the Winkler Group.

“Our growth is a direct result of our talented team,” explains Winkler Group founder and CEO Tim Winkler.  “Day after day, they provide our clients with expert leadership based on best practices and a commitment to service.  These promotions highlight the good work they do on behalf of the universities, schools, churches, and nonprofit organizations we are fortunate to serve.”
