Brendan Davis Joins Winkler Group; Anna Lipscomb Promoted to Marketing Events Manager

Charleston, South Carolina—The Winkler Group, a full-service fundraising consulting firm specializing in capital campaign management and strategic fundraising counsel, is proud to announce major staff changes that expand the firm’s reach.

In May, Brendan Davis was hired as the Director of Business Development. With a long career serving organizations including nonprofits, Davis has both the expertise and passion to help Winkler Group clients achieve their fundraising goals.

Prior to joining the Winkler Group, Davis consulted with nonprofit organizations at Blackbaud, focusing on the Raiser’s Edge and NXT platforms. By understanding the power of these databases to build better relationships with donors, Davis helped organizations grow their contributed income through strategic donor cultivation and stewardship. He also worked in government affairs and political fundraising, helping NGOs forge the link between fundraising and mission growth.

“Brendan’s extensive experience in nonprofit technology and strategic fundraising will be a resource for our clients,” said Jessica Browning, Winkler Group Executive Vice President and Principal. “His passion for helping nonprofits and his ability to devise creative solutions for them aligns perfectly with our core values. We are thrilled to have Brendan on board and look forward to the counsel he will give our clients.”

A native of Washington, DC, Davis graduated from the College of Charleston with a B.A. in political science.

Anna Lipscomb Promoted to Marketing Events Manager

In addition to welcoming Davis, the Winkler Group is proud to announce the promotion of Anna Lipscomb to Marketing Events Manager. Since 2021, Lipscomb’s experience in marketing and event management has been instrumental in connecting organizations with the Winkler Group to improve their fundraising goals.

Lipscomb built the Winkler Group’s first comprehensive conference strategy, creating opportunities for Winkler Group leaders to share best practices with nonprofits, universities, hospitals, and private schools. She has forged partnerships with professional organizations such as Southern Association of Independent Schools and the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and she has created a masterclass series to teach the fundamentals of capital campaigns, major gifts, and donor cultivation to hundreds of fundraising professionals.

“Anna’s promotion reflects her outstanding contributions to our firm. Her leadership has created opportunities to strengthen the nonprofit sector through resources and the sharing of ideas. We are excited to see how she builds on what she has already implemented,” said Jim Bush, Winkler Group President. “Both Brendan and Anna bring a wealth of experience—and enthusiasm—that will ultimately strengthen our clients and the way they serve their communities.”

With these strategic moves, the Winkler Group continues to solidify its position as a leading force in nonprofit consulting, committed to growing the sector through hands-on solutions that help clients raise more money.
