Riverside Presbyterian Day School (RPDS) has been a beloved educational institution in Jacksonville, Florida, for generations. Nestled in the historic Riverside neighborhood, the school serves students from PreK through sixth grade—offering a nurturing environment rooted in academic excellence, community spirit, and Christian values.
As enrollment grew, it became clear that the school’s facilities no longer fully supported its vision. RPDS lacked a gymnasium and flexible gathering spaces for student activities, physical education, and athletics. At the same time, Riverside Presbyterian Church, RPDS’s campus partner, needed a space to deepen its outreach and engage more fully with the surrounding community.
Together, the school and church envisioned a transformative project: a new Family Life Center that would serve as both a gymnasium for the school and a multipurpose community hub for the church.
To bring this shared vision to life, RPDS partnered with the Winkler Group to launch the Cornerstone Campaign.
The Campaign: Built on Shared Values and Community Impact
From the outset, we worked with RPDS and church leaders to ensure the campaign reflected their shared values of faith, education, and service. Together, we crafted a unified case for support that emphasized the Family Life Center’s dual role as both an educational facility and a hub for community service.
The campaign narrative highlighted how the new space would enhance student wellness while also strengthening the church’s ability to reach and serve the broader neighborhood. We developed donor messaging that underscored the school’s unique position as a K–8 community cornerstone within one of Jacksonville’s most historic neighborhoods.
In tandem with messaging, we provided coaching and strategic counsel to school and church leaders, helping them confidently engage key donors through personal outreach.
The campaign also included plans to fund essential endowment initiatives, ensuring long-term financial stability for both RPDS and the church well beyond the life of the campaign.
